Clothing Certification in Kyrgyzstan: How to Import Legally into the EU and US

Why there is no place on marketplaces without recognised certificates

Platform algorithms have become unforgiving in 2026. Where sellers could once trade in a grey area by uploading someone else's or invalid documents, today that leads straight to a blocked account and frozen funds. Any legitimate selling on Shopify, Amazon and Etsy starts with paperwork. Customers are more demanding, marketplaces audit listings, and EU and US authorities have tightened control over product safety and supply chain transparency.

That is exactly why the Arcobalena garment factory, at its new address (Bishkek, 8th microdistrict, 9B), offers not only quality garment production but full documentation support. We have launched a much-requested new service: issuing recognised certificates for your clothing and other goods with a complete set of laboratory test reports for your target market.

Which documents does apparel actually need for the EU and the US?

Unlike many product categories, clothing does not carry CE marking in the EU. Instead, compliance rests on correct fibre-composition labelling, chemical safety and general product safety. In the US, the rules come from the FTC and, for children's items, the CPSC. Arranging testing at the place of production is significantly faster and usually cheaper than doing it after import.

The documents we help you obtain:

  • OEKO-TEX® Standard 100: A widely recognised voluntary certification confirming that fabrics and trims are free from harmful substances. Many EU and US buyers now treat it as a baseline requirement.
  • REACH test report: Required for base-layer items (underwear, swimwear, T-shirts) and for all children's clothing. This document requires stricter laboratory testing.
  • Test reports: Confirms that materials meet EU restrictions on hazardous chemicals under REACH Annex XVII. We work only with accredited laboratories whose reports are accepted by EU importers.

With a complete documentation pack you can clear customs quickly and list your products with confidence. Read the details of how we structure these processes in About us.

Full-cycle garment manufacturing: from pattern to compliant label

Having the right documents is only half the job. The other half is correct labelling. Our full-cycle garment manufacturing handles labelling from end to end. As soon as the laboratory issues the test reports, we produce the sewn-in composition labels and the barcode or FNSKU labels your channel requires.

Our standard branding, embroidery and packaging services already include correctly prepared sewn-in care labels. If the composition on the label does not match the certificate, the batch will be rejected. Our tailored approach and in-house team of production engineers and pattern makers guarantee that every label meets the standard and the marketplace's requirements.

Logistics and official shipping in 2026: calculating unit economics

Once all testing and labelling is complete, the goods are ready to ship. The Arcobalena factory arranges export with the full set of documents (commercial invoice, packing list, CMR or air waybill, certificate of origin).
